The Irish Weavers comedy folk group, have taken the Irish music scene by storm since its formation in Cork in 1993.
The band perform a two and a half hour show which is characterised by fast music, unique stage settings for humorous songs and a variety of instruments being played. The band members have strong diverse personalities yet they combine on stage to produce a show of quality, magic and unrivalled entertainment.
The Irish weavers have in a short space of time recorded four cassette tapes, The Britches full of Stitches, Corks Double - commemorating Cork´s great success in winning the double All Ireland and Weaving a Spell (also available on C.D.) These were followed by A Jig a Jog and a Magic Dog containing 13 tracks of original songs and music (also available on C.D.) Their latest release is "The Irish Weavers Live At The Blarney Park" which is available on both C.D. and cassette.
The Irish Weavers show is captured on the recently released video The Irish Weavers Live In Concert. It contains breathtaking scenery of the Ring of Kerry, waterfall, Blarney Castle, Kissing the Blarney stone and scenes from County Cork, Kerry, Clare and Galway. The earlier video "An Evening With The Irish Weavers" was filmed in concert and on location in various parts of Ireland including Dingle Bay, Kinsale, The Aran Islands, Cork County and Galway Bay. All scenery is original and there is no duplication.
The Irish Weavers perform at all the main cabaret venues throughout Ireland and have had sell out concert tours of England, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the USA. Bands are bands, comics are comics, but this band have created a category all of their own - a five star act not to be missed!
